Educational content creator and former NASA engineer Mark Rober is bringing his wacky experiments to Netflix in 2026 with a new kids and family competition series. Like Rober's videos on social media, the series aims to combine both education and entertainment.
Rober's production company, CrunchLabs, will produce the show alongside Jimmy Kimmel's Kimmelot. Rober and CrunchLabs chief content officer Scott Lewers will serve as executive producers alongside Kimmel and Kimmelot presodent Scott Lonker

Regarding the new show and collaboration, Rober remarked, "I love turning learning into a game, basically hiding the vegetables in the dessert, and now it's a full-on competition game show! When you're having fun, you're learning without even realizing it. And teaming up with Netflix and Jimmy Kimmel to make this happen? This is gonna be epic!"
Kimmel, who has hosted Rober several times on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" shared the host's enthusiasm for the new partnership, stating, "My kids love Mark Rober, and so do their parents. Mark's videos are so clever and inventive, it's easy to forget that they're educational, too. We can't wait to introduce one of the best and brightest creators to Netflix."
On social media, Rober has amassed over 76 million followers across YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and other platforms. He has also launched a virtual camp and a subscription STEM box that allows kids to do experiments at home while teaching them to think like engineers.
Rober's move to Netflix echoes the streamer's deal with children's influencer Ms. Rachel, who brought four original episode of her beloved YouTube series to the platform earlier this year. This time, however, the creator is developing an entirely new show with the streamer while directly collaborating with conventional talent in Kimmel.
"Mark Rober's unique approach to STEM learning inspires all ages – his storytelling is infectious," says Netflix's vice president of series, animation, kids and family John Derderian. "Collaborating with CrunchLabs and Kimmel on a competition series for kids is going to be next level and sure to earn me father of the year."
