The cast of 'The Office'

Michael Scott was obviously holding them back all those years at Dunder Miflin.

The Office alums Oscar Nuñez, who played Oscar, and the actress behind Meredith, Kate Flannery, walked away with $1 million on Thursday's season finale of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire.

The two won the money for their chosen charities: Planned Parenthood and Philabundance, a food bank serving Philadelphia in the state where their mockumentary was set.

But, of course, there was drama. Nuñez was so stressed out that he laid out on the floor of the studio on the final quesiton, because he was so stressed.

Flannery declared, "I hate this game!"

Neither of them looked confident with the answer they came up with to the question, "The word 'planet' comes from an ancient Greek word that literally means what?"

But of the choices — "powerful," "immortal," "stranger," and "wanderer" — after the two consulted, Flannery said it was the latter.

When host Jimmy Kimmel finally confirmed that they had gone with the correct answer, the stage was flooded with the confetti, as the winners were in disbelief.

"What is happening? What is happening?" Flannery exclaimed as she walked around the stage. "What the hell, you guys? Oh my god."

Then the excited actors accepted an oversized check on behalf of a good cause.

Adding to The Office nostalgia was that one of their former colleagues, Brian Baumgartner, who played Kevin, was their Phone-a-Friend during the high-stakes quiz.

The beloved NBC series originally aired for nine seasons, from 2005 to 2013, all of which Nuñez and Flannery were on. While the comedy was a hit and a critical success in its time, winning five Emmys, it's remained popular thanks to constant reruns.

Just this month, The Paper, a spinoff featuring Nuñez in the same universe of the earlier show, debuted on Peacock. The premise is that the documentary crew that filmed Michael, Pam, Jim, Dwight, and all the rest for years has now set the sights and cameras on the staff of the historic and struggling newspaper The Truth Teller in Toledo, Ohio. Nuñez reprises his role of Oscar Martinez, who's become the newspaper's head accountant.
