Steve Martin and Martin Short are toasting one of the greats.

Following Diane Keaton's death on Saturday, Oct. 11, her two friends raised a glass in her memory during the Las Vegas leg of their comedy tour.

Footage and photos captured at the Encore Theater at Wynn Las Vegas showed Martin, 80, and Short, 75, ending their show, The Dukes of Funnytown, with a tribute to the late actress. The pair raised champagne glasses aloft, turning to the screen behind them, where a giant image of Keaton appeared. Short blew a kiss, and the two comedians clinked glasses, toasting her.

Keaton was 79 when she passed away in California on Saturday. The Los Angeles Fire Department confirmed to PEOPLE that they transported a woman to a local hospital from Keaton's home. "There are no further details available at this time, and her family has asked for privacy in this moment of great sadness," a spokesperson said.

Martin starred as the late Oscar winner's onscreen husband in hit 1991 movie Father of the Bride, which also featured Short as a wedding coordinator.

At a 2017 American Film Institute Life Achievement Award ceremony honoring Keaton, Martin and Short performed a playful tribute to the Godfather star. They were also on hand in 2007 at the Film Society of Lincoln Center's Annual Gala honoring her.

The friendship between the three actors was evident in a 2021 Interview Magazine quote from Keaton that Martin reposted on Instagram. "Who's sexier, me or Steve Martin?" Short had asked the Annie Hall star in the interview. "I mean, you're both idiots," Keaton replied.

An amused Martin captioned his tribute, "Don't know who first posted this, but it sums up our delightful relationship with Diane." The Pink Panther star also shared an Instagram post revealing that he and Keaton had worked together as acting students in a production of Carousel at Southern California's Santa Ana College.

Keaton is survived by her two children, daughter Dexter and son Duke. Many of the screen icon's collaborators and admirers in Hollywood have paid tribute to her in the days following her death. Among them were Reese Witherspoon, Goldie Hawn, Bette Midler, Mia Farrow, Ellen DeGeneres, Andy Garcia, Ed Begley Jr., Kimberly Williams-Paisley and more.
